- This research was conducted to compare the physical and biochemical properties of eggs of some exotic chicken breeds, Araucana, Australorp and Lohmann Brown, with domestic hybrid Atak-S eggs. On average, 60 eggs from each group were obtained from different farms, from chickens aged 44 weeks. Some internal and external physical properties of the eggs analyzed were determined. As a result of the scoring made by considering all the characteristics, it was determined that Araucana, Lohmann Brown, Atak-S and Australorp were included, respectively. Some of the biochemical properties of the eggs of the genotypes studied in the study show that the vitamin B12 value is undetectable, the cholesterol content is highest in the Lohmann Brown genotype, and the fat and protein ratios are high in the Lohmann Brown genotype. It was determined that the amount of omega-3 fatty acids was higher in eggs belonging to the Atak-S genotype. Selenium was found to be highest in the Lohmann Brown genotype. It was concluded that there was a difference between genotypes in terms of egg quality characteristics discussed in the study, Araucana eggs had the highest value in scoring physical characteristics, but eggs belonging to the Atak-S genotype were superior to the others in terms of biochemical characteristics.
