- In parallel with developments in the world, developments in organic poultry sector are also taking place in Turkey. In recent years, in order to meet the increasing demand, an increase in production comes into question and an increase in the number of new organic poultry farms has been observed. In order to ensure a certain portion of the nutrient requirements of animals from the pasture utilisation by using endemic plants, appropriate composition of the pasture is required to be established to support the economic production. However, environmental conditions and the housing techniques have an impact on the performance, health, welfare and product quality of birds. For this reason, the environmental conditions and techniques of housing are needed to well organised ensuring organic standards and are needed to compatible with local conditions. To meet daily nutrient requirements of animals in a balanced, with consuming grasses and leguminous fodder crops by animals fondly, the pasture composition must be determined by using mixtures of endemic plants which are resistant to grazing. Materials to be used in fixed and movable host systems must comply with organic standards. The local climatic conditions must be take into consideration in the organization of feeder and waterer troughs which are located between poultry house and equipment`s of pasture, especially in heating systems, heat sources which do not make the lighting have to be selected. Systems developed for protection of wild birds and predators should be focused, during production and evaluation practices, applications which keep the maximum level of product quality should be considered. In this study, focusing on organic farming, with the pasture compositions which was created for use of organic broiler production systems in Sivas conditions, information was given and discussed on the organic host system.
